Who am I?

MeCurrently an Account Director at a London PR and Marketing agency, leading on creative campaigns for organisations as diverse as multinational computer games giants and the UK Government.

I was born in 1984, have lived most of my life in London apart from a brief (18 month) stint in Abu Dhabi, and studied Classics at Oxford University, where I edited the student newspaper, Cherwell. Over the years I’ve also worked at Computer Exchange, the Pleasance theatre in Edinburgh, and the BBC news website.

When real work isn’t keeping me occupied, I am a sometime poet and writer and a fervent book-reader and entertainment enthusiast (by which I mean I watch TV drama series and go to the theatre).  I am an amateur photographer (with strong emphasis on that adjective).  And I’ve been coding (in PHP, C and its variants, Java and VBA/VB.NET) since I was about eleven.

Why are you blogging?  Aren’t you a bit late?

I have actually blogged in various guises since around 1999, but in mid-2009 decided to spend some time working on a single site to represent myself to the world at large and give the archaeologists of the future yet another lump of data to classify and store.

What’s your blog about?

I’ll have to get back to you on that one, I’m afraid.  As it’s a personal blog, it is likely to just reflect my interests (see above), and less likely to focus on serious discussion of online or offline marketing or PR as there are so many other places on the internet better suited to do that.
